Product Description

The Greenworks 26032 corded snow thrower has an electric motor and a single-stage system for removing snow from hard smooth surfaces. The machine has all standard features which you can expect to find such as chute with deflector and wheels. It has capabilities comparable to other machines in its class. The thing which makes this model stand out is that it is totally environmentally friendly. It has no carbon footprint at all. Let’s take a look at the model’s features in greater detail now.

This electric snow blower is the first feature I will evaluate. It is fairly powerful and compact and light at the same time. You can expect it to do a good job even in cold weather and to have a long useful life. The thing which I like about electric motors in general is that they require virtually no maintenance and care compared to their gas counterparts. You will never have to worry about applying oils and getting dirty.

The electric start allows you to start the motor instantly and without any effort. You simply need to flip the switch and you are ready to go. You do not have to worry about the extension cord messing with your work with the snow blower. This electric snow thrower model features a specially designed cord lock which holds the cable securely in place.

The rubber-covered auger of the Greenworks snow blower is made from steel. You can expect this part to be quite durable and to perform well even in the long term. It should not get affected by the snow and the cold.

The chute of Greenworks 26032 is made from plastic, which is the standard material for this part of snow blower. It has a rotation range of 180 degrees. You can adjust the position of the chute and lock it in place with the use of the specially designed lever, which is right underneath the steering handle. You can readily control the position of the chute and lock it in place while working with the machine. You do not have to stop. I find this particularly practical as it saves you time and effort.

A deflector is also included in the box of the Greenworks 26032 20-Inch 12 Amp Electric Snow Thrower. You can readily adjust it on top of the chute to determine the level at which the snow is thrown out of the machine. You can adjust the deflector to any level you wish from low to high to achieve maximum efficiency when cleaning the snow from the traffic areas which are part of your property.

Greenworks 26032 is equipped with radial wheels which have a diameter of 6 inches. The wheels are sufficiently big to allow for easy movement and good maneuverability on all kinds of paved surfaces which are covered with snow. What I like about the wheels with large diameter is that they allow for better control over the machine as well.

The steering handle bar is another one of the important features of this snow thrower. The handle has an ergonomic design. It has a rubber grip which will not become slippery no matter how wet and cold it is outside. The steering handle is adjustable as well. You can set it to three different positions depending on your height and comfort level.

The Greenworks 26032 has a compact design. It is fairly light as well. It weighs 37 pounds.

Greenworks electric snow blower has a cleaning path which is 20 inches wide and 10 inches deep. The width is quite large especially when compared to what other electric snow throwers are capable of. This means that you will be able to clean any area with fewer passes. The depth of the cleaning path is sufficient for the removal of mild to moderately heavy snow. The picked up snow is thrown out of the chute around 20 feet away. This means that you will never have to clean the same are twice.

This electric snow thrower is truly green. It has no carbon footprint as it does not produce and release any carbon gas while working. With this machine, you will help save the environment.

This model has a single-stage operation just like all electric snow blowers. The auger breaks and picks up the snow and then ejects it through the chute. The auger has another function as well. It propels the machine forward. This snow blower means that it touches the ground. If the cleaned surface has small pieces of gravel they may be picked up and expelled through the chute. In order to avoid this, you need to use the machine on paves surfaces only.

The Greenworks snow blower is suitable for homeowners and businesses in areas with mild to moderate snow fall. It is also suitable for cleaning small to medium-sized outdoor traffic area. The fact that the machine is compact and light allows a person of any age and strength to use it efficiently. It is suitable even for the elderly.

The good sides of Greenworks 26032 are:

  • Compact and light
  • Green
  • Efficient
  • Easy to use
  • Versatile
  • Durable and reliable
  • 4-year warranty (double the standard for snow throwers)

What I did not particularly like about this model:”

  • The assembly instructions may be a bit vague for those who are not technically orientated. This, however, is not a major issue if you read the instructions carefully and take a good look at the graphics provided.
  • The chute may freeze in one position if a lot of snow passes through it and the temperatures are very low. One solution is to change the direction of the chute slightly at frequent intervals so that it does not freeze. You can also apply some warm, but not hot water to it.

The Greenworks 26032 has a good review from all the snow blower reviews. Overall, this review of the Greenworks 26032 20-Inch 12 amp electric snow thrower concludes that this model is worth buying and using. It will do a good job with virtually no maintenance. It is easy to use. It works efficiently. It is durable.
